The Finest Hour is a Memoir ’44 tournament, and a premier event for competitive board game enthusiasts.
The Finest Hour Tournament – June 5–7, 2026. Is a flagship USMC44 regional one-day Memoir '44 Tournament on June 6, flanked by two extraordinary bookend events designed to thrill every gamer.
June 5: Epic D-Day Assault – Command the chaos of the largest 12-player Memoir '44 D-Day maps, reliving the Allied invasion in unprecedented scale with all painted minis.
June 7: Commands & Colors Day of Battle – Dive into a full day of clashes across iconic themes, including Battle of Hoth, Napoleonic's, Red Alert, The Great War and more. Forge your legacy in a variety of C&C themes.
Our Memoir '44 Tournament welcomes all skill levels. Compete in three thrilling, unique map scenarios, mastering both Axis and Allied forces. The victorious champion will claim the prestigious Richard Borg Trophy and earn complimentary registration to the newly formed USM44C, National Tournament in Washington, DC, August 22–23 – your gateway to national acclaim.

Tournament Format
You will play 3 matches (6 games) over the course of 1 day. Players will be paired using Swiss Rounds according to tournament ranking (Number 1 plays Number 2, 3 plays 4, etc).
This way everyone will be playing someone at their approximate skill level, ensuring competitive games and fun for everyone!

Or Monday Might Memoir'44 group is excited to announce we will be running a new EPIC multi-player map at this year's Little Wars.
Little Wars has been a part of the Chicagoland Convention landscape for over 40 years. The convention is focused on miniature gaming from all historical periods as well as from alternate settings such as Fantasy, Scifi, Pulp, Steampunk,1920’s Gangland, Pirate Adventures and other alternate histories. If it is a miniatures game run on a tabletop with fun terrain, you will find it at Little Wars! Come join the fun!
